60th Anniversary Season (2023/2024)
It all started in 1964, and look at us now

The Full Monty
Directed by Lorna Batycki
November 13th to 16th, 2023 @ The Broadway Theatre
Based on the cult hit film and new FX mini-series of the same name, The Full Monty, a ten-time Tony Award nominee, is filled with honest affection, engaging melodies, and the most highly anticipated closing number of any show. Featuring a cast, creative team, and full orchestra of Saskatoon community artists, The Broadway Theatre is going to rock and roll with this raucous, rowdy, and risqué musical extravaganza.
While spying on their wives at a “Girls’ Night Out,” a group of unemployed steelworkers from Buffalo sees how much the women enjoy watching male strippers. Jealous, out of work and feeling emasculated, the men come up with a bold and unclothed way to make some quick cash. In preparing, they find themselves extremely exposed; not merely physically but emotionally. As they conquer their fears, self-consciousness and prejudices, the men come to discover that they’re stronger as a group, and the strength that they find in each other gives them the individual courage to “let it go.”
The Full Monty is a story full of heart. Right to the end, you’ll be wondering if these lovable misfits will really pull it off. With a mix of razor-sharp humor and toe-tapping pizzazz, this heartwarming, upbeat comedy is a must for anyone who is looking to let it all hang out.
***Content Warning: This show contains Adult Language, Adult Situations, Talk of Suicide, and Partial and Implied Nudity. The show is not recommended for Children.***

60 Years of Summer…Players
Feb 2024
A Nostalgia filled extravaganza celebrating where we have been and where we hope to go in the next 60 years.

The Music Man
Directed by Ron Knoll
June 21st to 30th, 2024 @ The Remai Arts Centre
By turns wicked, funny, warm, romantic and touching, The Music Man is family entertainment at its best. Meredith Willson’s six-time, Tony Award-winning musical comedy has been entertaining audiences since 1957 and is a family-friendly story to be shared with every generation.
The Music Man follows fast-talking traveling salesman, Harold Hill, as he cons the people of River City, Iowa, into buying instruments and uniforms for a boys’ band that he vows to organize – this, despite the fact that he doesn’t know a trombone from a treble clef. His plans to skip town with the cash are foiled when he falls for Marian, the librarian, who transforms him into a respectable citizen by curtain’s fall.
