OUR STORY:
For over 60 years, Saskatoon Summer Players has been proudly volunteer-powered. Every production—on stage and behind the scenes—is brought to life by dedicated community members. From performers and directors to crew and production teams, we provide meaningful opportunities for local artists and enthusiasts to shine. Our shows have become a tradition in Saskatoon, bringing Broadway-quality musicals to local audiences and showcasing the incredible talent in our own backyard.

OUR AUDIENCE:

Our audiences are the heart of our success. With many performances selling out, our loyal patrons return season after season, often bringing new friends and family to experience the magic of musical theatre. Their enthusiasm fuels our work and helps us grow.

OUR VOLUNTEERS:
Our volunteers are the foundation of everything we do. From kids to retirees, our team is made up of individuals who are passionate about theatre and community. They contribute thousands of hours to each production—on stage, backstage, in the pit, and beyond—making it possible for us to continue creating unforgettable experiences.

OUR SHOWS:
We specialize in staging beloved, large-scale musicals that have captivated audiences worldwide. Our shows are bold, ambitious, and rooted in professional standards. We’ve proudly presented over 100 productions including local premieres of acclaimed productions like RENT (2014) and Sweeney Todd (2019), and earned consecutive Planet S Best of Saskatoon awards for Annie (2018) and Sweeney Todd (2019). With each new season, we aim to celebrate the power of story, song, and community
