AUDITION NOTICE – LEGALLY BLONDE THE MUSICAL
Omigod you guys! Based on the beloved movie, Legally Blonde The Musical follows the story of Elle Woods and her journey from sorority sister to ace attorney. After being unceremoniously dumped by her boyfriend Warner who is looking for someone “serious” as he heads off to Harvard Law, Elle decides she can become serious and makes her way to Harvard. Ridiculed by her peers and disregarded by her professors, Elle begins her journey of self-discovery – and learns that being yourself isn’t a bad thing, no matter what anyone else might say.
Show Dates: June 20 to 29, 2025, Persephone Theatre/The Remai Arts Centre
Audition Dates: January 21 to 25, at the SSP Community Studio Unit #5, 1527 Ontario Avenue
Roles
Performers are welcome to express interest in any roles regardless of gender, age or ethnicity. Strong dancing and movement skills are considered an asset.

ELLE WOODS
Bubbly, positive and confident. A bit airheaded, but bright. Strong dancing skills are a plus. Must be comfortable with some physical intimacy (hugging, kissing) on stage.
EMMETT FORREST
Smart, determined, dry wit. Came from little and “made it” by getting into Harvard Law. Must be comfortable with some physical intimacy (hugging, kissing) on stage.
WARNER HUNTINGTON III
Handsome, charming, self-centered and ambitious. Think Prince Charming from Shrek. Must be comfortable with some physical intimacy (hugging, kissing) on stage.
PAULETTE BUONAFONTE
Encouraging, self-deprecating, always hopeful. Runs a hair salon near Harvard Law. Bostonian accent a plus. Must be comfortable with some physical intimacy (hugging, kissing) on stage.
PROFESSOR CALLAHAN
Ruthless, smug, polished and manipulative. A true legal “shark,” embodies all of the nastiest qualities of a villainous high-society lawyer. Must be comfortable with some physical intimacy (hugging, kissing) on stage.
VIVIENNE KENSINGTON
Serious, intelligent, buttoned-up. Dresses smartly, stern to slackers. Must be comfortable with some physical intimacy (hugging, kissing) on stage.
BROOKE WYNDHAM
Athletic, vivacious, effortlessly confident and charismatic. On trial for the murder of her husband. Strong dancing skills are a plus. Must be able to move and sing simultaneously.
SERENA, MARGOT, PILAR
A trio of Elle’s closest friends in the Delta Nu sorority. Act as the “Greek chorus” throughout the show, popping in and out of scenes with seemingly supernatural ability. Energetic, encouraging, just plain FUN. Strong singing and movement skills are needed.
ENID HOOPS
Passionate, uncompromising feminist law student. Initially skeptical of Elle, eventually connects with her. Will also be part of the ensemble.
KYLE B. O’BOYLE
Devastatingly good-looking and smooth-talking UPS delivery man. Paulette’s dream man made manifest. Will also be part of the ensemble.
NIKOS ARGITAKOS
Brooke’s pool boy and a key witness against her in her murder trial. Flamboyant in dress and in character. Must be comfortable portraying a gay man on stage. Will also be part of the ensemble.
ENSEMBLE
Diverse, energized, and crucial to the show! Will sing in large numbers, and be assigned roles such as the following based on requirements and ability: Delta Nu sorority sisters, university students (UCLA and Harvard), Elle’s parents, Sundeep Agrawal Padamadan, Aaron Schultz, Dewey, Carlos, Grand Master Chad, Chutney Wyndham, the Judge
